IPTAY HOSPITALITY INTERNSHIPS
Part-Time Internships
IPTAY Hospitality hires two part-time interns who work the entirety of the academic year. The part-time internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students. The internship will start in early August and end in May.
This position is paid hourly and primarily event/game day focused. Interns will assist with administrative tasks during office hours, as well as all home football games, some men’s basketball games, and baseball games as assigned. Interns will also work rental events as scheduled.



Internship will open on April 1, 2022 and close on April 22, 2022
for the 2022- 2023 season.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
IPTAY Hospitality oversees the management and operation of Clemson's premium seating and hospitality areas within Memorial Stadium, Littlejohn Coliseum and Doug Kingsmore Stadium. We provide any assistance necessary in the production and management of all game day operations and manage the areas in all off-season preparations and events. The IPTAY Hospitality internship program offers a great opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and practical experience in many aspects of premium seating operations. This opportunity will provide insight into what a career in athletic hospitality would look like.
This internship program is a paid position that will start August 2022 and will end May 2023.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Assisting in game day operations in the premium seating areas for football, basketball, and baseball games

Staffing and supervision of up to 45 student employees.

Perform PEAK customer service for all guests, fans, and department staff.

Act as game day ambassadors for the Hospitality office and Clemson Athletics.

Ensure all game day policies and procedures are being upheld.

Monitor entry gates, review tickets, and be aware of access control protocols.

Perform all pre, during, and post-game duties associated to suites and clubs (i.e., trash removal, facility monitoring, food & beverage needs, etc.).

During the game, serve as the main point of contact for suite holders and guests.

Upkeep and maintain assigned inventory, materials, and equipment.

General office duties such as creating newsletters, payroll, and filing paperwork.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

Current students in PRTM strongly preferred.

Must be able to work entire length of internship (August 2022- May 2023).

Must be able to work ALL Clemson home football games and the Fridays prior to the game: September 10th, September 17th, October 1st, October 22nd, November 12th, November 19th, November 26th.

Some experience in hospitality or guest relations.

Ability to work nights and weekends.

Service first mindset.

Friendly demeanor.

Great verbal communication skills

Willingness to stand or sit for long periods of time (30-45 minutes).

Computer Skills: Microsoft office suite • Be eligible to work in the U.S.
